CUB SCOUTS
The Cub Scout program is designed for boys and girls in grades K–5 and gives young people the opportunity to build friendships, develop confidence, and experience adventure in a fun, family-oriented environment. Activities include camping, hiking, pinewood derby racing, rocket launches, community service, games, and much more.
Cub Scouts emphasizes character, citizenship, leadership, and personal growth, while encouraging scouts to try new things, work together, and have fun along the way. Parents and guardians are an important part of the experience, especially for younger scouts, making Cub Scouting a program that often becomes a shared family adventure.
New Canaan is home to two Cub Scout packs: a traditional boys-only pack and a family pack open to both boys and girls. Information about the packs, including meeting details, contact information, and website links, is provided below. Families are encouraged to reach out, visit a meeting or event, and learn more about the fun and opportunities Cub Scouting has to offer.
